MC4 Press Release MC4 Description	Screen shot 2014-12-16 at 7.26.13 PM.png This view shows the "gullwing" doors that were inspired by the De Tomaso Mangusta from my boyhood. I made the doors access to the luggage compartment rather than the Ford V8 in the Mangusta. This feature provided a unique of accessing the storage compartment.	Mercury MC4 Concept The Mercury MC4 was painted in a metallic green pearl inspired from the subtle, rich colors Aston Martin to describe subtle luxury combined with performance. The platform we used was a slightly modified MN-12 rear wheel drive layout.
Mercury MC4 Concept This strong front graphic story creates a not only unique brand identity for the Mercury brand but also expresses a high level of technology and performance that will look current for many years to come.	Mercury MC4 Concept Another innovation was the use of a door-and-a-half feature commonly found in many current l cars and trucks. The MC4 is a true four door coupe and adding a half door access to the rear seats is a thoughtful addition for rear passenger ingress/egress.	Mercury MC4 & MC2 Concept In this photo, the MC4 & the MC2. The MC4 debuted at the 1997 North American Auto show, while the MC2 was a "teaser" for the thinly disguised Mercury Cougar. It was unveiled at the 1997 Frankfurt auto show.

Mercury MC4 Concept The rear view also sends a message of performance and high technology with the neon taillamps and nickel plated lower valance that contains the center exhaust and hidden auxillary fog lamps.
